Después de tres días de presentaciones, donde el jurado evaluaba la calidad artística y musical de los representantes del Pacífico Colombiano, en la cuarta velada, después de la noche de gala, se hizo públicala lista de finalistas del Festival Petronio Álvarez 2011.
Agrupaciones de todo el Litoral Pacífico se dieron cita en la capital del Valle del Cauca. Músicos de Guapi, Timbiqí, Buenaventura, Tumaco, Palmira, Santander de Quilichao, Buenos Aires y Suarez Cauca, ademas de participantes por el Chocó, Antioquia, Cundinamarca y Ecuador deleitaron a miles de asistentes al Estadio Pascual Guerrero de Cali.
Las agrupaciones que tendrán que hacer su última presentación este domingo para optar por los mejores premios del Festival son:
